Dr. Shen's research interests have been in condensed matter physics with an emphasis on liquid crystals and magnetism. Since his retirement from Cal State Fullerton, Dr. Shen has been serving as the Director of the Office of Planning and Coordination at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
