Student Stations

  • One tall lab stand with long cross rod (Shown in image)
  • One pivot clamp with rotary motion sensor (Don't plug in the sensor)
  • An Aluminum meter stick
  • 1 hooked mass set
  • Hooked Force probe
  • 10 inch piece of string with a big loop that can fit around the ruler at one end and a small loop at the other end.

Student Stations

  1. Verify that all materials are present before proceeding to set up lab.
  2. Put the rotary motion sensor with pivot clamp on the tall rod below the small cross rod.
  3. Put the cross rod with 90 degree clamp above the rotary sensor on the tall rod.
  4. Attach the force probe with hook to the small cross rod
  5. Securly put the string on the force probe for safe keeping.
    1. Don't hang anything else on the probe
  6. Plug the force probe into the proper port of the logger pro.
  7. Verify there are two hanging clamps on the table
