The department celebrated Sheree Traub's 70th Birthday Friday Aug 24.
Faculty, staff, and friends took Sheree to lunch on her birthday, and the Physics Club presented her with a cake and served pizza the following Monday, first day of fall class. Happy Birthday Sheree!
Sheree joined the department in fall 2001 as administrative coordinator to the front office and has become highly regarded for her diligence and friendly, helpful style. She takes great pride in having gotten to know each and every physics major over the years, and stays in touch with many of them. She remains a faithful friend and confidant to us all.
Sheree admits she thinks about retirement, she wants to travel and have more time to spend with her grandchildren and her children Jennifer and Scott and their extended families. It's hard to imagine the department office without her.
For the present, Sheree enjoys a variety of daily tasks, including lending her sharp eye to budget reconciliation and scheduling issues, but is always willing to suspend whatever she's doing to help whoever comes in. She reaches out to all equally and is happy to prove there is someone who cares.
Sheree, we all wish you the very best and many more fun birthdays! We love you!!
