Can't pass up the chance for checking celestial alignment on a Friday the 13th!
Physics department members Shovit Bhari, Josh Smith, and Geoffrey Lovelace along with CNSM Dean David Bowman worked with Mrs. Breanna Porter to host an astronomy night with our neighbors and the 5th graders at Raymond Elementary.
Students were able to see stars, planets, and nebulae through several different telescopes, and they made chalk drawings of what they saw outside of their classrooms.
Highlights of the objects seen and drawn included Jupiter and its four Galilean moons, and the Orion Nebula.
A good time along with some fun science were had by all.
