Ionel Tifrea will be cohosting an international workshop this coming July in Brasov, Romania on the "Spin and charge properties of low-dimensional systems."

Nate Stern, Caltech, presented state of the art nano science with tiny, ultra-tuned optical cavities loaded with atoms and photons one at a time to share and transfer quantum bits as a prototype to quantum computing.
