Equipment

• Tripod
• Holder for 2 neodymium magnets with 2 small metal beads
• metal funnel (closed off)
• foam insulator
• liquid nitrogen
• Optional: video camera and monitor (to show to class)

Instructions

1.  Set up as shown.
2. Fill funnel 1/4 full with liquid nitrogen.
3. As oxygen condenses on outside of funnel it will drip down between the two magnets.
4.  Observe magnetic attraction of the oxygen as shown in the diagram
