Update: the scientific program is now available.

The 32nd Pacific Coast Gravity Meeting (PCGM) will be held at California State University, Fullerton (CSUF), on Friday, April 1, 2016 - Saturday, April 2, 2016. As with past PCGM meetings, this will be an open, relaxed, and informal conference. We are inviting researchers and students interested in all areas of gravitational physics: classical and quantum gravity, general relativistic astrophysics and cosmology, quantum cosmology, gravitational waves, experimental gravity, and mathematical relativity. Because this is a regional meeting, many attendees will be from the western United States, but all are welcome.

Following the usual tradition all participants, and especially postdocs and graduate students, are encouraged to contribute short, introductory talks on their current research, with the aim of fostering communication and understanding among gravitational physicists with different backgrounds. Everyone who requests to speak will be given equal time (plausibly between 10 and 15 minutes, including a question period). A prize (sponsored by the APS Topical Group on Gravity) will be awarded for the best talk given by a student at the meeting.

The PCGM 32 scientific program is now available. Talks are 15 minutes + 3 minutes for questions. There are also two special invited talks about the recent gravitational-wave discovery, which are 30 minutes + 10 minutes for questions each.

Travel and Lodging

We recommend flying into the John Wayne Airport, Orange County (SNA), which is approximately 20-30 minutes away from the campus. Southwest Airlines often has good fares for flights from San Francisco to Orange County, but they don't show up in most aggregators.

A number of ground transportation options are available, including shared-ride vans such as SuperShuttle (each way approximately $20 for the first passenger, $9 for additional passengers) and taxis (cost no more than about $50 each way).

There are two hotels within easy walking distance of the campus. We recommend the Fullerton Holiday Inn and Suites. Another good choice (even closer to campus) is the Fullerton Marriott at California State University (reserve online).

Update on lodging group rate 3/7/16: We have arranged for a special group rate for the Holiday Inn (call 714-579-7400 and mention the "PCGM" special group code) and the Marriott (call 714-738-7800 and mention the "PCGM" special group code). If you've already reserved but not prepaid, you can change your reservation to get the group rate (call the Holiday Inn at 714-738-7800 or the Marriott at 714-447-6660 to transfer to the group rate). Rooms are limited, so we suggest reserving early. These group rates are only valid if you reserve by Monday, March 14, 2016.

Meanwhile, there are less expensive hotels somewhat farther from campus, such as the Quality Inn Placentia - Anaheim, Best Western Plus Anaheim Orange County, and Travelodge Brea. Each of these are within a couple of miles of campus. Here is a search of nearby lodging, sorted by distance from campus.

We encourage you to make your reservations promptly, because the hotels might not have last-minute availability.

Update on parking: If you plan to drive to the campus, you'll need to purchase a parking pass on Friday for the day (the fee is $8/day). On Saturday, parking is free as long as you park in student areas. Parking is also free after 5PM on Friday.

Please see the Cal State Fullerton visitor parking page for where to park and how to buy a pass (you can buy one online or at stations on campus).

There are many good options that are a short walk off campus, for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Update: Google map of nearby, recommending dining choices.

Things to see

The northeast corner of the CSUF campus houses the Fullerton Arboretum, a 26-acre botanical garden. CSUF is about 20 minutes away from Disneyland.

A list of participants will be made available here close to the meeting.
