Graduate student Daniel Henrikson and Ionel Tifrea attended the annual divisional meeting of Condensed Matter Physics of the American Physical Society in Boston Feb 27 to Mar 2.

Daniel gave a contributed talk on his research with Ionel on nuclear spin diffusion effects in low dimensional semiconductor nanostructures.

The results he presented form the basis of his masters project with Ionel. Dan's travel was supported in part by two generous mini-grants sponsored by our campus Inter Club Council and by our Graduate Program, as well as Ionel's own Intramural faculty grant.

Daniel will graduate this summer and hopes to join the US Navy Nuclear Energy program.
