Phillipe takes home four top-place finishes in the state collegiate division of the California Business Leadership Conference Mar 27-29.
Phillipe took a 1st place in Financial Concepts, a 2nd place in Project Management, a 4th place in Client Service, and a 5th place in Entrepreneurship Concepts. He competed against students from across the state including from UC-Berkeley, UCLA, USC, and UCR.
The Competitive Events Series of the conference exemplifies the range of activities and focus of the Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda. The organization is committed to facilitating the transition of its members from their educational development into their career path.
Phillipe is a junior physics major with an emphasis in the Dan Black Phys-Bus Program. He has been a member of Phys-Bus for the past two years and maintained an outstanding 3.98 GPA while participating in a variety of club and community outreach activities. He is currently co-President of the Physics Club and belongs to the University Honors Board while coaching longtime for the American Youth Soccer Organization.
This summer, Phillipe will go to Washington, D.C. for an internship with the Cal State DC Scholars Program with all expenses fully covered by Dan Black.
